Citizen Way is coming to Conference!
Posted On: July 15, 2014
The Christian band “Citizen Way” is made up of our own SDB sons, Ben and Josh Calhoun. They are joined by two other brothers, Ben and David Blascoe. This makes them a true “band of brothers”. They are best known for their hits, “Should’ve Been Me”, “Nothing Ever (Could Separate Us), and “How Sweet the Sound”. You can find all of these tunes and more on their album “LOVE IS THE EVIDENCE”.
The name of the band comes from a few key ideas in scripture that are important to the guys. “Ephesians reminds us that our true citizenship isn’t here on earth, but rather in heaven,” explains Josh Calhoun, “Jesus calls Himself the way and the book of Hebrews talks about the new and living way we have because of Christ’s sacrifice, Acts actually calls believers followers of the way. So Citizen Way is an idea that we’re part of something bigger, God’s kingdom.”
Last year Citizen Way toured with the multi-award winning group, Big Daddy Weave, who won song of the year in 2013 with “Redeemed”. This year they have been headlining and also touring with other well known Christian music artists.
