Our mission is to equip our
For over 300 years, SDBs have been commissioned
by Jesus Christ to use their gifts and resources to
share His gospel. Today, we continue to advance
His mission in North America in a unique way. We
believe that this Vision Map generally demonstrates
the way in which God has been and will continue
to work through us to make new disciples and
transform us into greater Christ-likeness.
During the past few years, the General Council
has prayerfully developed a Vision Map for the
SDB General Conference USA & Canada. General
Council shared this with delegates from our
churches at Conference 2015 in Lancaster, PA. The
Vision Map is a working model being used at the
denominational level to prioritize and guide how
we use our resources and decide which new pro-
grams we pursue. While there are some
references to our beliefs, it is not intended to be a
theological document or replace our SDB State-
